Ministry of Unification, Civil Society Organizations Hold Competition to Support Free, Democratic, and Peaceful Unification Activities

The Ministry of Unification announced that it will proceed with the public offering process for the “2025 Civil Society Free Democratic Peace Unification Activity Support Project (Budget: 500 million won)” in order to form domestic and international consensus for establishing a foundation for free democratic peace unification.

Applicants for the business application are non-profit corporations and non-profit private organizations registered with the Ministry of Unification as of February 3, the date of announcement.

Based on three types of projects (△Propagation of discourse on freedom and unification △Projects to raise awareness of unification △Projects to promote culture of unification), projects that can contribute to establishing a foundation for free, democratic, and peaceful unification will be selected and supported with a total of KRW 500 million (up to KRW 200 million per organization).

However, he added that this year, in order to raise awareness of unification among future generations on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of liberation, he plans to give extra points to the ‘Unification Empathy Project in Connection with the 80th Anniversary of Liberation’ and ‘Projects Related to Raising Awareness of Unification Among Future Generations.’

The recruitment period is 19 days from February 3, 2025 to February 21, 2025, and the target projects will be selected through a fair review by the subsidy business selection committee consisting of internal and external experts.

The selection results are scheduled to be announced in March, and for more information, please refer to the notice posted on the Ministry of Unification website and the National Treasury Subsidy Integrated Management System (e-National Assistance, www.gosims.go.kr).
