2024 Dubai Beauty World Middle East, IBITA Korea Pavilion 70 Companies Attracting the Eyes of Buyers from Around the World
The 28th Dubai Beauty World 2024 (Beauty World Middle East 2024) exhibition held at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) was successfully opened by the Chairman of the International Beauty Industry Trade Association, Yoon Ju-tak (hereinafter referred to as IBITA), with approximately 70 companies forming the IBITA Korea Pavilion.
More than 2,000 exhibitors and 70,000 visitors from over 150 countries are expected to gather at the 28th Dubai Beautyworld expo, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 28 to October 30, 2024, the organisers said.
In particular, the extensive event spread across 17 halls brings together a global community of industry professionals, including new trends, startups and established brands, providing unmissable networking and business opportunities.
This year’s IBITA Korea Pavilion attracted the attention of buyers from around the world by featuring companies representing various industries, including cosmetics manufacturing, brands, and OEM/ODM.
Dubai Beautyworld is the most influential beauty trade show in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and an important platform for global cosmetics industry professionals and buyers to discuss the latest trends and explore future collaboration opportunities.
Korean cosmetics have a strong presence in the Middle Eastern market due to their quality, innovation and diversity, and this exhibition serves as an opportunity to highlight these strengths once again.
In particular, IBITA Chairman Yoon Joo-tak (hereinafter referred to as the International Beauty Industry Trade Association) is playing a leading role in promoting trade in the Korean cosmetics and beauty industry by organizing 75 promising overseas cosmetics and beauty trade fairs in 45 countries, including Cosmoprof in Italy, Las Vegas, Miami, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Turkey, and Thailand, and organizing IBITA pavilions.
IBITA Chairman Yoon Joo-tak said, “Through the MOU agreement with the UAE government’s Moiat (Ministry of Economy, Science and Technology) and the continuous activities of the Korean office, IBITA has been leading the advancement of the Korean cosmetics industry into the Middle East,” and “By signing agreements with five state-owned groups, including Index Group, a UAE state-owned group, as the Korean representative office, we are actively supporting the advancement of the value of the K-beauty industry into the Middle East, MENA region.”
At the 2024 Dubai Beauty World, the IBITA Korea Pavilion was comprised of high-quality, high-class IBITA Korea companies with a luxurious and sophisticated design, drawing all attention at the exhibition hall and further highlighting the innovation and quality of Korean cosmetics.
The theme of this year’s expo, ‘Spotlight on the Beauty Business’, is expected to highlight trends in the beauty industry and provide unrivaled brand showcases and networking and business opportunities, organizers said.
Additionally, Dubai Beautyworld continues to play a vital role in the growth and development of the beauty and wellness industry and strives to create new business opportunities and build various partnerships within the Middle East market.
Meanwhile, IBITA Vice President Yoon Kyu-hee said, “The successful operation of the IBITA pavilion at Dubai Beauty World for 10 years is due to the special relationship that IBITA has formed in Dubai, which other related organizations and groups cannot approach.” He also said, “This is an important fact that is evaluated as an opportunity to once again confirm the growth potential and global competitiveness of the Korean beauty industry.”
Making its debut at Beauty World Dubai this year, Beauty Live is a new stage where beauty takes centre stage with an exciting mix of hair and makeup demonstrations, while over the course of three days, Beauty Live will also host the Arabian Colour Fiesta, the largest hair competition in the GCC, in partnership with Goldwell. The competition is set to get even fiercer as the grand finals sees competitions for the titles of Hair Colourist of the Year, Hair Cutter of the Year and Rookie of the Year.
Beauty Beginnings In collaboration with international luxury brand consultancy, Beauty World Dubai will be launching an exciting new discovery zone this year, exclusively designed to introduce beauty brands to the MENA region for the first time, the event will showcase the uniqueness and creativity of the beauty sector from emerging startups and established SMEs.
In particular, by launching the Dubai “Fall In Beauty” online and offline project in March, IBITA>DA is making efforts to continuously support Korean companies’ exports to the Middle East.
In addition, as the Korean representative office of the 19-country global cosmetics cluster, we expect that through the expansion of our global network, Korean cosmetics will gain a stronger position in the global market, including the Middle East, and will play an important role and serve as a foundation for the further growth and development of the Korean cosmetics industry in the international market,” an official said.
