National Arboretum, practicing warm sharing with neighbors for Chuseok
On the 13th (Friday), ahead of Chuseok, the National Arboretum (Director Lim Yeong-seok) visited the “Unbowon” of the Korean Welfare Association for the Deaf in Pocheon City and delivered consolation gifts.
In a situation where people are struggling due to economic recession and high prices, the National Arboretum is spreading the culture of sharing and donation and practicing love for the underprivileged by carrying out neighborly helping activities every year on Lunar New Year and Chuseok. In addition, it is contributing in various ways, such as supporting the proceeds from the ‘Book Bazaar’ in March.
This Chuseok, we prepared and delivered necessary items through fundraising with the participation of all employees, and we had time to listen to the difficulties faced by facility users and staff and seek effective ways to coexist.
Lim Young-seok, director of the National Arboretum, said, “I hope that kind hands will spread throughout society so that our neighbors in difficult times can share warmth and have a bountiful Chuseok holiday.” He added, “I would like to thank the warm hearts of the National Arboretum staff who participated in the fundraising, and we will continue to work hard to share warmth with more neighbors in the future.”
