“People’s Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons to be Issued Soon”… Public-Private Business Agreement ‘Holding Hands’
The public and private sectors joined hands to ensure smooth payment of the People’s Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that it held a business agreement ceremony attended by the Financial Services Commission, the Mayors, County Governors, and District Heads of the Republic of Korea Council, nine card companies, internet banks (Kakao Bank, Toss Bank), and fintech companies (Naver Pay, Kakao Pay) to ensure prompt payment of the People’s Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons.
This business agreement is intended to ensure that the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, local governments, and related financial institutions check the necessary requirements for performing their duties and divide up roles before applying for and paying out the People’s Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons so that the consumption coupons can be smoothly paid out to the public in the future.
According to the agreement, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety will comprehensively manage the entire business execution process, including the establishment of an overall business plan, budget allocation, and establishment of a business management system, for the application and payment process for the People’s Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupon.
Local governments will perform tasks such as securing payment methods, receiving and processing civil complaints such as objections, execution management, and settlement.
In particular, financial institutions such as card companies, internet banks, and fintech companies will pay the People’s Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons to the public through credit cards or check cards.
In addition, each organization will use only the minimum amount of personal information for the payment of the People’s Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons and sign a ‘Personal Information Processing Commission and Consignment Agreement’ that includes the safe processing and protection of personal information.
Han Soon-ki, Director of the Local Finance and Economy Office, said, “In order to ensure the smooth payment of the People’s Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons, cooperation and division of roles between related organizations are important,” and added, “The Ministry of the Interior and Safety will continue to communicate with local governments and private organizations in the future to ensure that the People’s Livelihood Recovery Consumption Coupons become a successful starting point for the recovery of the people’s economy.”
Meanwhile, the first livelihood recovery consumption coupon can be applied for online and offline from the 21st to September 12th, and can be received by choosing the method of your choice among credit/check card, prepaid card, and local love gift certificate.
