National Science Museum, 8.8. ‘Cat Symposium’ held on World Cat Day
The National Science Museum (Director Kwon Seok-min) announced that it will hold a one-day ‘Cat Academic Conference’ on August 3 to commemorate World Cat Day.
This ‘Cat Symposium’ is the first event held at the Science Museum in commemoration of World Cat Day on August 8th. At this event, lectures and various programs to scientifically explore cats will be held, and anyone who loves cats can participate for free without prior reservation. However, the “Cat Drawing Workshop (Workshop)” and “Pet Food Nutrition and Cat Cake Making” are held for a fee, and some workshops and photo contest entries are currently closed.
Kwon Seok-min, director of the National Science Museum, said, “I hope this will be an opportunity to approach science through cute cats. Just as the National Science Museum successfully held the ‘Dinosaur Enthusiast Expo’ in June, science enthusiasts gathered together to discuss various topics. “We will do our best to make it a ‘mecca for enthusiasts’ where discussions and exploration can take place,” he said.
Detailed information, including the program, target audience, period, and participation method of the “Yangnyangyi Symposium,” can be found on the National Science Museum website (www.science.go.kr).
