IBITA, in collaboration with the GCC Canadian Representative Office CCC, announces the inaugural Cosmetic Trade Mission Korea to Canada, to be held in Toronto – the first of its kind in Canada. This mission, scheduled from June 3 to 6, 2024, marks a significant milestone, initiated by IBITA’s Chairman, Yun Joo-taek, in partnership with the Global Cosmetic Cluster (GCC). IBITA has been instrumental in forming networks between Asia and GCC.EU countries, fostering collaboration and learning expedition opportunities within the cosmetic cluster. As the Korean representative for GCC, comprising members from 19 countries including France, the UK, Canada, the USA, Portugal, Spain, Romania, Italy, Turkey, Taiwan, Germany, UAE, Japan, and Korea, IBITA under Yun Joo-taek’s leadership as the international event chairman, aims to promote international cooperation and research in the cosmetic industry.
The “2024 Mission Korea to Canada,” taking place in Toronto from June 3 to 6, is a direct follow-up to the cooperation agreement with the Canadian cluster, aiming to facilitate export consultations, conferences, and networking by directly matching sellers and buyers. The Canadian Cosmetic Cluster (CCC) is prepared to warmly welcome the Korean delegation, highlighting the strategic partnership and export bridge roles between the GCC Canada headquarters and the Korean headquarters against the vibrant cityscape of Toronto and the breathtaking natural beauty of Niagara Falls.
The Canadian cosmetic market, known for valuing innovation and offering a well-developed niche in skincare, is experiencing growing demand for products catering to diverse beauty interests, from natural and organic to luxury beauty solutions. Canadian consumers actively seek unique and effective brands, contributing to the vibrant development of cosmetic beauty innovations.
The event, spanning three days, will feature key activities such as meetings with local retailers, visits to cosmetic stores, manufacturing, and distribution companies, B2B buyer matching tours, dinner networking events, visits to local R&D centers, workshops, and seminars for product demonstrations, inviting consumers, influencers, and press, followed by subsequent cooperation management.
After the trade support event between the Korean and Canadian cosmetic industries concludes, efforts will be made to evaluate the outcomes and continuously manage essential and comprehensive follow-up activities for future cooperation. A critical component of the Canada Mission Korea will involve collecting feedback from participants of both countries, sharing information, and networking to gain insights into each other’s achievements, experiences, challenges, and opportunities.
Leveraging opportunities in the Canadian cosmetic market requires a strategic and culturally comprehensible approach.
This inaugural mission proposes a trade event that serves as a catalyst in promoting cooperation, exchange, interaction, and partnerships between Korean and Canadian cosmetic enterprises, understanding market trends, aligning with consumer preferences, and securing a vibrant and successful position for Korean companies in the global market.
