The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (Minister Park Sang-woo) voluntarily inspected a total of 103,543 vehicles of 7 models manufactured, imported, and sold by Tesla Korea, Kia, Ford Sales Service Korea, and GM Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters after defects were discovered. It was announced that corrective action would be taken.

Tesla: A hood software error was found in 66,489 units of 4 vehicles, including the Model Y, which may prevent drivers from detecting the hood opening while driving. In this regard, corrective measures will begin on August 22nd.

Kia: A fire was discovered in 36,351 units of the Pride due to insufficient durability of the electronically controlled hydraulic unit (HECU). Accordingly, corrective measures have been in progress since August 19th.

Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU): A braking electronic control unit with integrated vehicle control functions.
Ford: In 402 MKX units, it was discovered that the braking distance may be longer due to insufficient durability of the brake booster parts. Corrective measures will take effect from August 22nd.

Brake Booster: A device that improves braking power by additionally increasing pressure on the brakes.
GM Asia Pacific: It was discovered that in 301 Cadillac Lyriq units, a software error in the Electronic Brake Control System (EBCM) may result in longer braking distances under certain conditions. Corrective measures will be implemented from August 23rd.

Specific conditions: Driving at low speeds (less than 40 km/h) on dry roads.
