The Korea Tourism Organization announced on the 21st that it will promote the ‘2024 BETTER里’ (2024 Battery) project with the goal of reducing population and revitalizing underdeveloped regional economies. This project will be carried out for four local governments, including Jecheon-si and Danyang-gun in North Chungcheong Province, Andong-si and Bonghwa-gun in North Gyeongsang Province, and 20 startups in Korea will participate.
‘2024 BETTER里’ is a project in which tourism venture companies and related startups cooperate to encourage continuous visitation and residence by applying various business models such as accommodation, content services, mobility, and local business to the region.
