Early Voting & Election Day Guide for the 21st Presidential Election in South Korea

■ Early Voting
- Dates: May 29 (Thu) – May 30 (Fri), 2025
- Time: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (both days)
Voting Procedure:
- Present a valid photo ID to the election staff.
- Accepted IDs: Resident Registration Card, Passport, Driver’s License, Disability Registration Card, or other government-issued photo IDs.
- Note: Screenshots of mobile IDs (e.g., Naver Certificate, Kakao Wallet, PASS app) are not accepted. You must show the actual app in operation.
- Verify your identity via signature or fingerprint on the verification device.
- For voters within their registered district (In-district voters):
Receive your ballot, mark your choice in the voting booth, fold the ballot, and place it into the in-district ballot box. - For voters outside their registered district (Out-of-district voters):
Receive your ballot and return envelope, mark your choice, seal the ballot in the return envelope, and place it into the out-of-district ballot box.
- For voters within their registered district (In-district voters):

- In-district voter : A person voting within the jurisdiction of their registered election office.
- Out-of-district voter : A person voting outside the jurisdiction of their registered election office.
- Example : A Guro-gu resident voting in Guro-gu = In-district / A Busan resident voting in Guro-gu = Out-of-distric

- Date: June 3 (Tue), 2025
- Time: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Voting Procedure:
- Present a valid photo ID (same requirements as early voting).
- Sign or provide fingerprint/seal on the voter list.
- Receive your ballot.
- Mark your ballot in the booth, fold it, and insert it into the designated ballot box.
