Additional Support for Export Vouchers: 2,600 SMEs to Be Selected, KRW 89.8 Billion Allocated

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) announced that it will recruit small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for the third round of its 2025 Export Voucher Program from May 20 to May 30.

The Export Voucher Program is a flagship export support initiative that allows SMEs to select and use marketing services tailored to their needs in order to strengthen export capabilities. The program supports services in 14 areas such as design development, exhibitions, patents/intellectual property rights, and a special tariff response package.

Export SMEs and related industries have consistently called for the expansion of the Export Voucher Program to quickly respond to intensifying global protectionism. As a result, an additional budget of KRW 89.8 billion was allocated through a supplementary budget, enabling this third round of recruitment.

In 2025, the program has already supported 2,500 companies in the first round and 750 in the second. The third round aims to select 2,600 additional companies.

To speed up support, the MSS will adopt a “fast-track” selection process, providing assistance within a month of application—compared to the previous three-month or longer process. This approach was first introduced in the “Immediate Export Support Program” announced in April.

In this round, eligibility will expand to include a broader range of export-oriented SMEs as well as prospective exporters. While the previous program targeted companies exporting to the U.S., this round aims for more inclusive support to help domestic firms transform into exporters and respond to global tariff challenges.

In addition to marketing services, the program also offers a customs response package to support market diversification and resolve tariff disputes.

SMEs selected in the third round, like those in the previous rounds, will receive customized customs consulting services from domestic and international experts.

Interested SMEs can apply via the Export Voucher website: exportvoucher.com.

Lee Soon-bae, Director of Global Growth Policy at the MSS, stated, “The Export Voucher Program will serve as a solid stepping stone for SMEs on the global export front, helping them secure new growth drivers amid external uncertainties.”
