Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announces the charm of Hanbok to the world with actor Kim Tae-ri.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Yoo In-chon) announced that actor Kim Tae-ri will participate in the ‘Korean Wave-linked collaborative content planning and development project in the hanbok field’ to promote the charm of hanbok to the world.
This project is being carried out in cooperation with four hanbok companies, and has the purpose of collaborating with international Korean Wave artists to widely publicize the beauty of hanbok and promote the overseas expansion of hanbok brands.
Last year, Suzy and in 2022, Kim Yuna have promoted the beauty of Hanbok to the world as Korean Wave artists. This year, Tae-ri Kim will participate in the planning and development of hanbok design, and the hanbok design developed as a result will be promoted internationally through the New York Times Square electronic display board.
Lee Hae-don, director of cultural policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said, “As foreigners’ interest in hanbok culture increases, the hanbok experience is becoming an important tourist content,” adding, “The beauty of hanbok and “We look forward to its unique charm becoming more widely known around the world.”
