The Born Korea Co., Ltd. (CEO Baek Jong-won) is currently working with the Ministry of National Defense to provide consulting services for barracks cafeterias, and provided special meals and a coffee truck from Baekdabang to boost morale for the 758th Battalion of the 7th Artillery Brigade, a pilot unit, on November 7.

At this special meal service event, Vice Minister of National Defense Kim Seon-ho and CEO Baek Jong-won attended to encourage the soldiers and exchange opinions on the new-generation customized military meal innovation being promoted by the Ministry of National Defense.

The Born Korea Co., Ltd. signed a business agreement with the Ministry of National Defense in January and has been working on improving the operation of barracks cafeterias, increasing the use of cooking utensils suitable for military meals, and developing simple recipes. From April to June, we stationed professional personnel in consulting pilot units to check the actual operation of barracks cafeterias.

This special meal was created through a talent donation by The Born Korea Co., Ltd. to provide a new dining experience for the soldiers of the demonstration unit and to give a chance to rest to the hard-working cooks.

The Ministry of National Defense plans to introduce around 10 new military-optimized meal menus in December to improve the quality of military meals and reduce the workload of cooks, based on the know-how to provide consistent meals by cooking delicious food easily and conveniently in cooperation with The Born Korea Co., Ltd.

In addition, the Ministry of National Defense plans to apply the new menu to a pilot unit in December through continuous cooperation with The Born Korea Co., Ltd., and then apply it to three to four battalion-level units in 2025. After analyzing the effect of reducing the workload of cooks and soldier satisfaction, it plans to expand it to all units.

Vice Minister of National Defense Kim Seon-ho, who visited the site, said, “I would like to thank Daebon Korea for actively supporting and cooperating in the innovation of military meals, and we will strive to provide healthier and tastier meals to our soldiers.”
