The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has been supporting participation in overseas exhibitions since this year to help domestic agricultural machinery exporters develop overseas markets and expand exports. November is a time when global international agricultural exhibitions are concentrated, and in response to the high interest and participation intentions of domestic agricultural machinery exporters, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs proactively supports each exhibition by discovering overseas buyers with high purchasing intentions in advance and signing business agreements (MOUs) and purchase contracts on site through export consultations.
EuroTier 2024, held in Hanover, Germany, is a world-renowned exhibition in the livestock breeding and management sector through innovative technologies. In addition to domestic agricultural equipment, 12 veterinary pharmaceutical companies will also participate and work to expand exports of livestock-related products.
The Growtech EXPO 2024, held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is the largest international agricultural exhibition in Vietnam, and will feature a Korean pavilion centered around domestic fertilizer companies with a high proportion of exports to Southeast Asia. Through this exhibition, we plan to solidify the foundation for local advancement for fertilizer export companies.
Growtech Antalya 2024, held in Antalya, Turkey, is the world’s largest greenhouse exhibition where global agricultural professionals showcase greenhouse technology and irrigation systems. It plans to focus on promoting domestic greenhouse-related agricultural equipment products such as greenhouse coverings and automatic agricultural cultivation systems. The Korea Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Technology will also participate in this exhibition with eight domestic agricultural equipment companies, and will hold exchange events between participating companies to maximize the promotional effect of Korean agricultural equipment technology.
In addition, on November 20th, at COEX in Seoul, we plan to hold an export consultation meeting for buyers focusing on eco-friendly agricultural materials and feed in conjunction with the Agricultural and Food + Front and Back Industry Export Consultation Meeting (BKF+) to improve export performance by the end of the year.
Lee Sang-man, Director General of Agricultural and Food Innovation Policy at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, said, “Participation in the exhibitions concentrated in November will be a good opportunity for our agricultural equipment export companies, such as fertilizers, facility materials, and veterinary drugs, to lay the foundation for overseas expansion,” and “We will continue to work with the industry to raise the status of K-agricultural equipment in the global market.”
