The Ministry of Unification holds the ‘2024 Unification Future Drawn by Young People’ to create a venue for unification discourse and communication with young people.
The Ministry of Unification announced that it will hold the “2024 Unification Future Drawn by Youth” camp for domestic youth from June 28 to June 9. This event is intended to promote new unification discourse and collect diverse opinions from young people. Various activities will be held under the theme of the unification future that young people dream of and its implementation plans.
This event will be held for two days, and the first day will include a unification discourse hackathon competition and a viewing of the North Korean human rights film ‘Beyond Utopia’. In the hackathon competition, groups are organized based on areas of interest to propose ideas for the future of unification and action plans, and excellent groups are awarded a commendation from the Minister of Unification. After watching the movie, there will be a storytelling performance with CEO Lee So-yeon.
On the second day, a field trip to unification security sites will be held to raise youth security awareness. A visit to Imjingak and the National Korean War Abductees Memorial Hall and a tour of Odusan Unification Observatory are scheduled.
The Ministry of Unification said that it plans to continue to seek new perspectives on unification and North Korean issues through communication with young people.
