The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (Minister Kang Do-hyung) announced that it will hold a ‘Fishery Festival’ for two days from Saturday, November 2nd to Sunday, November 3rd at Noryangjin Fish Market in Seoul, one of the representative fish markets in South Korea, in order to increase public interest in fishery products and promote fishery consumption.

This event, themed “Fresh Fish Festival, Seafood Taste Festival,” was planned by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives to promote the taste and quality of marine products. During the event, visitors can purchase regional marine products at up to 50% discount, and enjoy various marine products such as assorted sashimi and grilled octopus at low prices at the food booths.

In addition, there will be experiential programs that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, such as seafood auction experience, VR fishing experience, and making a mini aquarium. Information on the taste and safety of seafood, such as the Eosikbaekse* and seafood history system, will be provided at the promotional booth. In addition, congratulatory performances by popular singers such as Kim Bum-soo, Nora Jo, and Hongja are scheduled to enrich the autumn nights.
