Signing of Agreement between International Beauty Industry Trade Association (IBITA) and Daegu University of Oriental Medicine
Daegu University of Oriental Medicine, which was selected as one of the 30 Global Universities in 2024, and IBITA join hands to pioneer the global K-MEDI Silk Road and cooperate in overseas marketing networks
On Monday, the 30th, IBITA President Yoon Joo-taek and Daegu Haany University President Byun Chang-hoon signed a business agreement (MOU) with IBITA for overseas marketing support through overseas exhibitions, joint overseas network construction, and export support at the university headquarters conference room.
IBITA (Chairman Yoon Joo-taek) is an organization that has signed an official government agreement with the Ministry of Economy, Science and Technology (MOIAT), a government department of the United Arab Emirates, and is supporting the advancement of Korean companies into the Middle East by signing JV (joint venture) contracts with Dubai state-run groups such as INDEX Trading Group, FCI Financial Investment Group, BPC Group, Al-Fahim Group, and Al-Ali Holdings Group, which operates the world’s largest outlet mall. In particular, IBITA is playing a leading role in promoting trade in the cosmetics and beauty industry by organizing and hosting Korean pavilions in 75 promising overseas cosmetics and beauty fairs in 45 countries, including the world’s largest fair, Cosmoprof Italy/Las Vegas/Miami/India/Vietnam/Malaysia/Mexico/Brazil/Turkey/Thailand.
The signing ceremony was attended by President Byeon Chang-hoon of Daegu Haany University, President Yoon Joo-taek of the International Beauty Industry Trade Association (IBITA), and around 10 relevant responsible working-level officials. With this agreement, the two institutions pledged to actively cooperate with each other for export marketing support through overseas exhibitions and overseas expansion through joint construction of overseas networks.
President Byeon Chang-hoon said, “Through this agreement, we expect that this agreement with IBITA will be an important starting point for our global expansion in pioneering glocal businesses and the K-medical Silk Road.” He added, “We hope that by actively cooperating and communicating frequently through the hotline, we can become the best partners and share the results of large-scale projects with an excellent overseas network.”
Yoon Joo-taek, President of the International Beauty Industry Trade Association (IBITA), said, “Through this agreement with Daegu Haany University, we are delighted to take the first step toward jointly building and commercializing a global network with Daegu Haany University as the Korean representative office in 19 countries including the GCC (Global Cosmetics Cluster) including France, Italy, the UK, Germany, the US, Canada, and Japan.” He added, “Through this agreement, we will develop joint projects and actively support Daegu Haany University so that it can grow into a world-class university.”
Through continuous and cooperative activities between Daegu Haany University and the International Beauty Industry Trade Association, overseas marketing support will be provided to companies participating in the Industry-Academic-Research Cooperation Complex Development Project, companies entering the Startup Incubation Center, family businesses, etc., and overseas expansion will be supported through joint construction of overseas networks. This agreement, which was achieved through joint efforts of both organizations, is expected to have a positive impact on the Korean cosmetics and beauty industries at home and abroad, and experts are paying close attention and expecting it to do so.
