“Brand K,” a joint brand of national small and medium-sized enterprises, will make inroads into the U.S. market

The Ministry of Small and Medium Venture announced on the 4th that it held the “Korea Brand Expo with Brand K” at the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles on the 3rd and 4th (local time).

The mid-term ministry held a “Brand K-pop show” in Thailand in September to explore the new southern market, and organized the event to promote “Brand K” products in the Americas.

The event also features various events linked to hallyu cultural content, including a demonstration of K-beauty and a K-pop showcase.

Singer Soyou participated in the production of small and medium-sized companies’ product promotion videos and pictorials as an official goodwill ambassador, and held fan meetings at the site.

The company operated a corporate exhibition hall where visitors can directly experience products from small and medium-sized companies, including “Brand K” products.

The corporate exhibition hall was attended by 50 promising consumer goods companies selected through a joint venture between large and small companies, 26 start-ups selected by the Korea Start-up Promotion Agency, and four companies discovered by Lotte Homeshopping, which communicated with local buyers.

The “Korea Brand Expo” was organized in conjunction with “Brand K” products this time, a flagship sales support event that helps local home shopping companies find innovative products of superior small and medium-sized enterprises and help them make inroads into the domestic and foreign markets.

Brand K is a project to jointly nurture products from small and medium-sized enterprises at the national level. The government created the “Brand K,” a joint brand for small and medium-sized enterprises, considering the hardships of small- and medium-sized enterprises that have had difficulties in developing domestic and foreign markets due to their lack of awareness and brand power, even though they possess superior levels of technology and quality.

Meanwhile, the mid-term ministry plans to expand its support policy for ‘Brand K’ using hallyu marketing and conduct public participation auditions next year to discover excellent ‘Brand K’ products.
